Prue Davies: World Champion

This GCP Fitness athlete is an amazing talent and should be someone to look out for amongst the Surf Lifesaving fraternity.

In Australia, Prue Davies has already developed an impressive list of accolades within this highly competitive sport. Her dedication and drive was rewarded hen she was selected to represent Australia in the National Junior Surf Lifesaving team as part of the World Titles in France, in September 2014!

Specifically, Prue was been selected for the Australian under 19 team to compete in the following races:

  • Ironwoman

  • Board Race

  • Ski Race

  • 200m Super Surf Lifesaver

  • 50m Manikin Carry

In some fantastic news, Prue has managed to be crowned World Champion in 3 events!!

She brought home Gold in the 50m Manikin Carry (with a 1 sec Personal Best), 200m Super Lifesaver Race AND the interclub Rescue Medley Race, with yet another PB!

This adds to her already impressive list of achievements, having already being crowned the under 17 Australian Ironwoman champion, and just recently also taking out 3 Australian titles and 2 Aussie records at the National Pool Rescue championships!

This girl is on fire!!

Prue is an absolute pleasure to train and certainly embodies the GCP Fitness spirit of "Reward For Effort", with plenty of hard work put in behind the scenes. Her schedule involves 3 resistance training sessions with GCP Fitness per week, adding to an already full workload which covers all the other aspects of her surf lifesaving sporting requirements.

It just goes to show that to be the best, you have to work at it! Keep an eye out for this girl in the future, she's a machine!!
